The eBranding Me team recently began a new series: PBYP – Pause Before You Post. Every Monday morning a post will feature 5 “Social Media Over-Shares”. We have all made the mistake of pressing Post too soon and publishing content that was inappropriate or not complete. While these mistakes happen, a simple mouse-click can make a remarkable dent in one’s personal brand.
You can find all of the posts, organized for your convenience, here. Subscribe via email and/or RSS.
Are you a parent? Would your child pass a drug test? eBranding Me hopes so.
Shockingly enough, a 19-year-old mother from Florida was charged and arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia earlier this week after posting a photograph of her baby with a bong on Facebook.
Fortunately, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) of Florida confirmed that the baby was not exposed to actual drugs. However, this also means that prosecutors cannot charge the mother with child abuse. The irresponsible 19-year-old is currently being held for a first-degree misdemeanor. The grandparents are now caring for the child.
A reader commented on “The Palm Beach News” website’s coverage of the story: “Facebook is a blessing for morons like this woman.” eBranding Me just thinks the 19-year-old should have been subscribed to their blog via email and/or RSS.
