eBranding Me – Reputation Index

eBranding Me – Reputation Index

The eBranding Me team is proud to announce a new feature: eBranding Me Reputation Index!

The “Reputation Index” scores an individual on three scales: 1) Enrollability, 2) Hireability and 3) Dateability. See below for more details and the link:

eBranding.me proprietary algorithms analyze posts by and about you to quickly and accurately determine how compelling your social media presence is. We collect as much information about you as we can, but we place a higher value on newer information. Not only is more recent information more likely to represent who you are now, but they are also more likely to show up in a search about you on Google – the emergence of Twitter and Facebook have led to the “realtime web,” which emphasizes newer information.

So check back often to see how well you rate online!

Enrollability: This score indicates how attractive you are to college admissions staff. eBranding.me’s algorithm values initiative and positive thinking in your online presence. College admissions staff like to see evidence of initiative, passion, and drive in pursuing your goals – we check to see that your online presence has evidence of those!

Hireability: Because employers value initiative, positive thinking, and hard work, that’s exactly what we track. eBranding.me’s algorithm automatically determines positive (and negative) sentiment, popularity, and passion. We try and figure out if a lot of people are impressed (or not!) with what you’ve accomplished online, and weight that by how frequently people talk about you. The more passionate people you have talking about you, the higher your score!

Dateability: We know the first thing some people do these days is Google (or Facebook) the name of their prospective amour. We’ve tried to simplify that search into our Dateability score, which tracks whether or not a person has a good reputation and a loyal group of friends. We figure that people who have those attributes will be better to date – so the higher your score, the more attractive your online reputation!

    Hi Keith,

Even though my scores were all green, what exactly do the numbers mean? What are they out of? I think a little more explanation in that area would be really helpful.

    Otherwise, looking good!

    Heather –

Thanks for the feedback! I am glad that you enjoy eBranding Me’s Reputation Index! Unfortunately, due to the varying number of statistics the eBranding me algorithm draws from to calculate your Enrollability, Hireability and Dateability, it is impossible to portray an individual’s score OUT OF a specific number. Due to this, I have determined the results typically seen from students into 4 categories: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert. It is my goal as someone who educates Generation Y students to improve their scores to Advanced or Expert.

Did you happen to “hover” over your scores to read the detailed explanations?

I hope this short explanation answers some of your concerns. However, I am still working on improving the accuracy of the tool and will be sure to contact you with any future improvements! Thanks again for the feedback.
